Stephen Curry is already a big legend in the NBA. The Golden State Warriors superstar not only changed the game with his 3-point shooting but dominated the league thanks to this, becoming one of the most influential players of all time.
The Chef is trying to lead his team to their first NBA Finals in three years, but first, he must go through Luka Doncic and his Dallas Mavericks to return to the biggest series of all. Steph didn’t have the most explosive game against the Mavs in Game 1 of their series, but he showed why he belongs to the elite of the league.
It was so cool that San Antonio Spurs young guard Dejounte Murray called him a top 10 player of all time on Twitter. Curry made 3s, showed his handles, and pretty much did everything to lead his squad to a comfortable win:
Steph Top 10 EVER!!! Idc What You Say!!! 😤
— Dejounte Murray (@DejounteMurray) May 19, 2022
“Steph Top 10 EVER!!! Idc What You Say!!!” Murray said while the Warriors demolished the Mavericks at Chase Center.
Fans saw Murray’s post and decided to give their two pennies on that statement, with most fans disagreeing with that notion. Even though Murray said he didn’t care about what people would say, folks didn’t hesitate to express their opinion:
He is easily over Bill, Iverson, and Duncan imo

Nah Curry's talent, skillset and range is transcendent. Mark Price was an All Star and All NBA 1st team in his prime and Curry is like Price on steroids with double the range and way more confidence and killer instinct. If Steve Kerr could shoot so well back then so could Steph!

According to our top 75 all-time players list, Curry ranks 13th. If Murray says Steph is a top 10, one of Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Shaquille O’Neal, Tim Duncan, or Wilt Chamberlain would leave their spot to make room for the Chef.
It’s unclear which player deserves to leave this list and it’ll be interesting to see why Curry ranks higher than any of them. Yes, he changed the way basketball is played right now. He’s the greatest shooter of all time, but right now, Steph is a top-15 player.
If he wins the championship this season, perhaps he could go up one or two spots, but to make it through the top 10… That’s another conversation.
