It’s 2022, and Klay Thompson is still delivering huge games for the Golden State Warriors. In Friday’s crucial Game 6 against Memphis, the 5x All-Star poured in 30 points and 8 rebounds in the 110-96 closeout victory.
On Twitter, fans lauded Klay’s performance and acknowledged Golden State’s return to the Conference Finals. They also took the opportunity to troll Morant and his arrogant Grizzlies team.

Wow… this is emotional for #Dubnation tho… Warriors back to the Western Conference Finals after years of injuries disrupted the dynasty. Finally healthy (ish), older, key years of prime stolen, but still… here they are… all heart & savvy 👏🏽

The Grizzlies were a formidable opponent for the Dubs. Not only are the Grizzlies younger, faster, and more athletic, but they are also well-coached and know how to control both ends of the floor.
Sadly, we didn’t really get the chance to see this Memphis team at full strength throughout the series. Ja Morant went down for these final games, and his presence could have changed everything for the Grizzlies.
Nevertheless, it’s the experience and talent that pushed Golden State over the edge. With Curry, Thompson, Draymond, Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, and Jordan Poole, the Dubs have a deep core of players that can score the ball with ease.
They’ve really turned it on since the postseason began and now stand just four wins away from another NBA title.
“I’m gonna have the Warriors because I feel like they’ve hit a point where they, they’re in championship mode and it ain’t about who’s doing it, how they doing it,” said Kevin Garnett, “it’s about playing together, continuity, talking to me like you’ve seen the cylinders are firing they, they’re playing on another, another level right now.”
The Warriors now await the winner of the Suns/Mavs series, with no guarantees about the future. But with Curry and Thompson leading the way, the Warriors look pretty good heading into the third round.
It will be interesting to see if any team stands a chance against them and just how much farther they can go in this run.
