The Phoenix Suns took a 2-0 lead against the Dallas Mavericks in Round 2 of the 2022 Playoffs. But since then, the Suns have allowed the Mavericks to make a stunning comeback in the series.

Following the events of Game 4, the series is now tied at 2-2. The Mavs have pulled themselves back into the series and will now hope to cause an upset by knocking out the Suns.

Although the Mavericks won the game by 10 points, it would have been very close if Chris Paul had played like his usual self. He had an underwhelming game where he couldn’t even finish the game as he was fouled out after playing 23 minutes.

Even in general, the Mavericks seemed to get many foul calls in their favor, which understandably frustrated the Suns. After the game, Mavs head coach Jason Kidd was asked about the reason behind his players getting so many calls in their favor. Kidd answered the question by giving a backhand compliment to CP3.

“I thought JB and Luka and those guys did a really good job of understanding when we were in the bonus. I think we’re being taught by one of the best point guards ever on the other side of how to do things. That’s pretty cool this time of year.”

Kidd credited Chris Paul for teaching his players how to draw more fouls and giving him the taste of his own medicine. CP3 was trolled by NBA fans after finishing the game with more fouls than points.

Hopefully, the veteran point guard will bounce back in the next game. Otherwise, it will be very tough for the Suns to beat the Mavericks. After all, the Mavs are currently flooding with confidence and might actually defeat the Suns in the series.
