The Miami Heat took a 2-0 lead against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night, dominating Trae Young and co. again in a series that was thought to be more close than it’s been so far. The Heat are playing like a well-oiled machine, with Jimmy Butler leading the way with his incredible performances.
Moreover, the Heat have made a terrific job stopping Trae Young, who has played nothing like he’s used to playing. The Atlanta Hawks’ young guard is well aware of that and wants to improve for the rest of the series.
Even though he’s been a shell of himself during the first two games of this matchup, Trae is enjoying the challenge and has even embraced the tactical back and forth with head coach Erik Spoelstra. Talking about being 0-2 down, the player revealed that he’s having a lot of fun playing against the Heat and everything he’s living right now will help him in the future.
“Obviously, we’re down 0-2 in this series, but this has probably been my most fun and challenging series that I’ve been a part of so far because of just that: playing that chess match game with Coach Spo, just knowing how good of a coach he is. I’m trying to think ahead of him and he’s doing the same with me. It’s a fun challenge. It’s something that I’ve got to learn and grow and it’s another step for me in my progression.”

The Atlanta Hawks have a lot of work to do if they want to overcome this 0-2 deficit, and Young needs to step up if he doesn’t want to get swept. The former No. 3 overall pick is the heart and soul of his team, and without him playing at a great level, the Hawks will have a hard time trying to beat the Heat.
They clash again tomorrow, but this time the venue will be State Farm Arena, where Trae will try to get back at the Heat and let them know that this series isn’t over yet.
