The Los Angeles Lakers are keeping their winning ways going after executing a 111-102 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight. This wasn’t a pretty game, as the Lakers blew multiple leads to let the Timberwolves find their way back into the game in the second and fourth quarters. Nonetheless, they held on and secured their 36th win of the season.
LeBron James led the squad with an incredible 33 points (11-22 FG), 17 rebounds, and six assists. Austin Reaves put up 23 points (5-10 FG), six rebounds, and five assists. Meanwhile, Luka Doncic had 21 points (6-20 FG), 13 rebounds, and five assists in another rough shooting night. The trio became the first three Lakers to each score 20 points with five rebounds and five assists in a game.
Fans loved what they got to watch, although some concerns about Doncic’s poor shooting have started to bubble.
“Can’t think of anything more Luka Doncic than hitting that shot after the game he’s been having,” said one fan after Doncic hit his first three of the game after eight straight misses with a ridiculous one-legged shot-clock beater.
“Luka Doncic……… nah bro if I’m a Timberwolves fan I would’ve turned off the TV immediately,” said another fan after Luka made that shot to end his cold streak.

“Once Luka starts making threes consistently it’s gonna get crazy,” said another fan waiting out Luka’s current cold-streak.
“LeBron got coaches losing sleep planning for him in year 22,” said one fan after LeBron’s dominance in the game.
“Appreciating the basketball anomaly known as LeBron James. Top 2 and not 2,” said another fan giving LeBron his flowers for his incredible form over the last month.
“League still in denial about how good Reaves is. Just hope it lasts until after he signs the extension,” said a fan giving Austin Reaves his well-deserved flowers.
The Timberwolves were led by another fantastic performance by rookie Terrence Shannon Jr. who put up 25 points (9-15 FG) and five rebounds off the bench. Anthony Edwards put up 18 points (6-12 FG), six rebounds, and five assists before being ejected in the third quarter. Jaden McDaniels had 15 points (6-18 FG) and five rebounds, while Nickeil Alexander-Walker put up 14 points (4-10 FG) off the bench.
The team was without Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert, although they welcomed Donte DiVincenzo back to the fold tonight. This was a costly loss for Minnesota, as they fell to 32-28 and dropped into the No. 9 seed. They’re tied with the Dallas Mavericks for the No. 8 seed, half a game behind the No. 7 seeded Golden State Warriors and one game behind the No. 6 seeded Los Angeles Clippers.
The Lakers improve to 36-21 and consolidate their position as the No. 4 seed. They’re 1.5 games behind the No. 2 seeded Memphis Grizzlies and one game behind the No. 3 seeded Denver Nuggets.
