The Golden State Warriors still remain in a favorable position against the Denver Nuggets, having a 3-1 lead in front of Nikola Jokic and co. The Dubs started the 2022 NBA playoffs showing an incredible level, dismantling Jokic and leaving the Nuggets helpless during the first three games of the series.
While their star trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole has been on a tear recently, and Draymond Green has played as great as usual, Andrew Wiggins seems to have decreased his level since he was selected to the 2022 All-Star Game in Cleveland in February.
Maple Jordan isn’t putting the same numbers as the biggest offensive threats of the Warriors, but he’s having a decent series and is helping his squad win games. Draymond Green recently came in Wiggins’ defense after fans tried to bring him down, explaining that regardless of his numbers, he’s playing at a high level, which should be appreciated a lot more (7:30).

“I’ve been saying it in the last couple of games, Wiggins is playing incredible basketball, Green said, via Clutch Points. I know most people gonna look and say, ‘Oh man, he had nine points.’ And it really just shows you the lack of knowledge around the game of basketball and how people can’t watch the game and dissect what’s really going on. Because Wiggins has been playing incredible basketball on both ends of the floor.”
Draymond is one of the most brilliant minds when it comes to basketball. He’s been an excellent player thanks to that and when he praises Wiggins for other things different than his scoring or assists, you know he’s looking deeper than most people. The Dubs have found a new Big 3 in Curry, Thompson, and Poole. Wiggins can contribute to the team, too, but right now, the team doesn’t seem to need him that much.
Still, he’s much appreciated in the locker room and his contributions are highly valued not only by his teammates but the head coach.
