Guillermo Once Asked Kendrick Perkins What Disney Princess He Is: “I Ain’t About To Get Fooled In That”

Kendrick Perkins is one of the most known ESPN NBA analysts in the world right now. While he is opening new roads for himself by being an entertaining TV analyst, he was a relatively unheralded rotational center in the NBA. However, he was the starting center for the Boston Celtics in 2008 when they won their last championship.

Perkins made it back to the NBA Finals with the Celtics in 2010, and the next time he made it was at the tail end of his career, with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2015. By this point, Perkins was not even a rotational player on the team and would retire after the 2018 off-season.

It’s funny to see Perkins fulfill media obligations while he was a player, considering how he is in the media now. He understands the value of being entertaining now, but he didn’t in 2015 when he appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Show where the show’s reporter Guillermo interviewed Perkins and asks him what Disney princess he is.

While many players have fallen victim to the Guillermo pranks, by now he is well-known and will show up during the first media scrum for every NBA Finals. However, it is hilarious to see Perkins not wanting to engage in the question and looking quite uncomfortable while having to answer it.

Guillermo tells Perkins that he looks at himself as Pocahontas before Perkins reiterated that he is not a Disney princess and provided absolutely no answer.

Perkins today would probably go off on a minute-long monologue where he draws some analogy from Disney and relates it to basketball to identify himself as a particular princess. However, 2018 wasn’t the time for it. Hopefully, someone asks him this again and this time he gives an unforgettable reply.
