Spencer Dinwiddie didn’t have the best tenure in Washington, lasting only a half of a season in D.C., getting traded to Dallas last month in the move that sent Kristaps Porzingis to the Wizards.

Many people doubted that Dinwiddie could make an impact on the Mavericks, but he’s meshing very well with Luka Doncic, even posting a couple of game-winning shots with the Texan squad. He’s living a great time right now but hasn’t forgotten about the things that others said of his tenure with the capital team.

After the Wizards demolished the Mavericks on Friday night, Dinwiddie sent a big message to his former team, taking a shot at them while praising his current team. Dinwiddie celebrated the Mavs’ success this season while picking on the Wizards for their bad campaign.

“I said what I said about the organization. I know that they’ve since made comments about their own locker room that kind of validated what I’ve said about the situation. … Let them go to the offseason and let us go to the playoffs,” Dinwiddie said, per Hoop District.

In the past, Dinwiddie was said to be disliked by his teammates in Washington. He explained that perhaps his first impression hurt the rest of his stint with the team, but he had no regrets about it.

He’s now in a better situation, ready to compete in a stacked Western Conference, trying to win it all with Luka Doncic. The former Brooklyn Nets player has found his place in the world and he’s ready to give his everything to help the Slovenian player take the squad to the promised land.

Meanwhile, he’s taking some shots at his former team, kicking them while they’re down. He went from a terrible situation to a big team and is enjoying every part of it.
