LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have been one of the worst teams this season. Despite LeBron James playing some of the best basketball of his career, the Los Angeles Lakers have underperformed significantly, and are now dangerously close to missing the playoffs for the second time since LeBron James joined the franchise in 2018. That has raised concern that LeBron could be looking to leave.

But Laker fans need not worry, as NBA analyst Brian Windhorst has confirmed that LeBron James is not looking to leave the Lakers. He noted that James enjoys his life in LA, and while the Lakers have struggled during his time there, despite winning an NBA championship, LeBron has no desire to leave the Lakers and try winning an NBA championship with a different franchise (5:00 mark).

“LeBron loves living in LA. He loves raising his kids there, loves setting up that high school Sierra Canyon. I don’t think he wants to move. He wants to have his cake and eat it, too.”

The Lakers have been massively struggling this season. The Lakers lost their last game to the Dallas Mavericks, and dropped out of the 10th seed in the Western Conference, thus losing a play-in spot. But the San Antonio Spurs lost their game to the Memphis Grizzlies last night, allowing the Los Angeles Lakers to move back up to the 10th seed in the Western Conference.

LeBron James suffered a pretty significant injury while playing for the Lakers, and is ruled out for the next few games. The Lakers may have to secure a play-in tournament without LeBron available. Russell Westbrook is still available, and Anthony Davis is expected to make a return to the side this season. The duo may have to do the heavy lifting and get the Lakers across the finish line without LeBron James.
