Jayson Tatum has established himself as one of the best players in the league this season. In what is becoming one of the most impressive mid-season turnarounds in recent memory, the Celtics have become one of the best teams in the NBA right now. And Tatum’s incredible performance on both ends of the floor is arguably the biggest reason for their success right now. But not everyone is as impressed with Tatum.

NBA analyst Nick Wright recently put out a list of 17 players he felt are better than Jayson Tatum. The list includes LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, Luka Doncic, Stephen Curry, James Harden, Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, Ja Morant, Devin Booker, Donovan Mitchell, Chris Paul, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and Jimmy Butler.

Nick Wright’s List Of Players He Thinks Are Better Than Jayson Tatum:

LeBron James

Kevin Durant

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Nikola Jokic

Joel Embiid

Luka Doncic

Stephen Curry

James Harden

Damian Lillard

Anthony Davis

Ja Morant

Devin Booker

Chris Paul

Paul George

Kawhi Leonard

Jimmy Butler

NBA fans were clearly not happy with this list, as they poked fun at Wright and the list of players he put together. While there are some players on the list like LeBron, KD, Giannis, Curry, Jokic, and Embiid, whose superiority to Taytum cannot be argued, there are other players like Paul George, Devin Booker, Donovan Mitchell, and Jimmy Butler whose placement on the list is questionable.

Regardless of Wright’s list, there is no denying just how sensational Tatum has been so far. He has transformed the Celtics from an underwhelming team to a solid contender in the Eastern Conference. But the challenge now will be helping the Celtics cross the hurdle they haven’t been able to since he arrived; the Western Conference Finals. If he can do that, he can take the Celtics to the NBA Finals for the first time in 12 years.
