The Clippers Already Have More Winning Seasons With Steve Ballmer Than Donald Sterling Despite Him Only Taking Over In 2014

The Los Angeles Clippers are widely regarded as one of the better run franchises in the NBA. This has been evidenced by the fact that they are still a play-in tier team despite missing both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George for a large portion of the season.

A large reason for their turnaround has been governor Steve Ballmer, as he has managed to help the team build a winning culture under his leadership at the top. He was once ranked as the best governor among league insiders.

“He’s given the Clippers every resource they need,” a scout said. “He lets his people do their jobs.”

“I would say Ballmer is No. 1,” said another scout. “His enthusiasm, his willingness to spend money, what he’s done with the Clippers, forging into L.A., creating their own identity, and building their own building now, that’s bad news.”

A recent Reddit post from user sundevil170393 has revealed another astounding fact that further supports the notion that Steve Ballmer has been fantastic during his time leading the Los Angeles Clippers. The post revealed that Steve Ballmer already has more winning seasons with the franchise than former governor Donald Sterling, as he’s had 7 consecutive winning seasons since the 2014-15 season, more than Donald Sterling’s entire tenure from 1981 to 2014.

I find it amazing the way the team has completely turned around.

Donald Sterling owned the team from 1981-2014 and the Clippers had 6 winning seasons during that time, 3 of which came in Sterling’s last 3 seasons.

Under Ballmer, Clippers have 7 consecutive winning seasons since 2014-2015 and need to finish the year 6-8 to make it 8. It would extend their NBA leading streak to 11 consecutive seasons of over .500.

There is no doubt that the Los Angeles Clippers are currently in a good place, and they will likely be contenders next season when Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are fully healthy.

Hopefully, we see this sort of success continue for Steve Ballmer. He is clearly willing to put a lot of time, effort, and money into the franchise, and that is the sort of person every franchise needs leading them.
