Nina Westbrook Reacts To Tweet Suggesting Russell Westbrook Would Lead The ‘Worst Team In The NBA’ Orlando Magic To The NBA Playoffs

Russell Westbrook has struggled this entire season to make an impact on the Los Angeles Lakers. He was expected to gel incredibly well with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but things haven’t gone in the Lakers’ favor so far.

This has led NBA fans to blast the player and use everything they can to try to demoralize him, even hurting Westbrook’s families with the comments they’ve seen on social media or heard at Crypto.com Arena.

The former MVP is trying to turn things around in L.A., has taken the blame when he doesn’t perform as expected, and has always demonstrated his desire to improve his game. This doesn’t matter much for fans, who have consistently criticized Brodie.

His wife Nina has come in the player’s defense in recent weeks, clapping back at those who criticize Russell, making it clear the player can still be valuable in the association. She took it to the next level when Ben Stinar of Sports Illustrated suggested that Westbrook in a bad team like the Orlando Magic would thrive and lead them to the postseason.

If you put Russell Westbrook on the Orlando Magic (the worst team in the NBA).. guarantee you’d they make the playoffs!

Nina didn’t see any lies and agreed with that statement, backing her husband like she’s always done. Brodie played on struggling teams before, namely the Oklahoma City Thunder of his MVP campaign or the Washington Wizards that reached the playoffs through the play-in tournament.

Westbrook and the Lakers are reportedly ready to part ways this offseason, as they try to find him a new home in the league. If the Magic pull the trigger on this move, they could get a huge boost in their postseason chances. They have an interesting young core with Cole Anthony, Franz Wagner, Jalen Suggs, Mo Bamba and more. Adding a veteran player like Westbrook could mean they can compete for an 8th or 7th seed in the Eastern Conference.
