Andrew Wiggins has been productive during his time with the Golden State Warriors, becoming a really good two-way player for the team. He was even selected to his first All-Star Game this year. Andrew Wiggins is currently the 2nd leading scorer for the Golden State Warriors this season, and he is currently putting up 17.5 PPG, 4.2 RPG, and 2.2 APG this season while shooting 40.6% from beyond the arc.

He is having an overall solid season, but recently, Andrew Wiggins has been struggling on the offensive end of the ball. Andrew Wiggins is only averaging 13.6 PPG over the course of his last 10 games and only shooting 41.5% from the field during that span.

Stephen Curry has recently backed Andrew Wiggins to bounce back from his slump, claiming that the team knows “what kind of scorer, athlete” Andrew Wiggins is, and added that he expects Wiggins to “respond” in the future.

He’s capable obviously, we know what king of scorer, athlete he is. The way he can get it a lot of different ways. We obviously need to figure out if that’s the sets we’re calling to get him in the right positions, or him being more assertive, demanding the ball… I expect him to respond.

Andrew Wiggins has had 20 PPG scoring seasons in the past, and he is definitely capable of providing scoring if put in the right positions to succeed. He has clearly struggled, but perhaps he will be able to score more in the future to go alongside his stellar perimeter defense.

The Golden State Warriors are a contender this season, and some people have them as their pick to win the 2021-22 NBA championship. They will need Andrew Wiggins to step up offensively if they are to do so, and hopefully, he responds as Stephen Curry expects.
