LeBron James Has The Same Number Of 25 PPG Seasons As Kareem Abdul-Jabbar And Wilt Chamberlain Combined

The fact that LeBron James is still playing in the NBA at the highest level is truly astonishing. Despite being 37 years old right now, LeBron James is still considered one of the best players in the NBA and is one of the leading scorers in the league. James, despite not being known as a scorer, is still a statistical marvel when it comes to scoring.

In fact, LeBron James is ahead of two of the NBA’s greatest ever scorers, by a hefty margin. LeBron James has had 18 seasons across his career where he has averaged 25 or more points per game. That means that only his rookie season had a scoring output of fewer than 25 points per game, 20.9 points per game to be exact.

In comparison, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, has only had 10 seasons in his career where he averaged 25 points per game. And Wilt Chamberlain, a player with some of the most ridiculous scoring numbers of all time, has only 8 such seasons. LeBron has the same amount of 25 points per game seasons as Wilt and Kareem combined.

SEASONS WITH 25 POINTS PER GAME:

LeBron James: 18

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: 10

Wilt Chamberlain: 8

James has been on an incredible scoring run over the last few months. He recently became the youngest player in NBA history to reach 36,000 career points. On top of that, he is just 104 points from surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the most points scored in NBA history across regular seasons and playoffs as well.

But this incredible run of scoring has not been without its critics, as Skip Bayless called out LeBron James for becoming a stat-obsessed player like Russell Westbrook, only focusing on scoring so that he can eventually surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. James is a little over 2,000 points away, and at this rate, he will be able to do so before the end of his career.
