NBA Rumors: Los Angeles Lakers Could Target Terrence Ross Or Eric Gordon

The Los Angeles Lakers are a team that needs to make some drastic changes if they want to be a contender. They are currently 21-22 and the 9th seed in the Western Conference.

When it comes to trades, the Los Angeles Lakers have been linked with stars such as Ben Simmons and Jerami Grant. However, Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report has recently claimed that the franchise “may not have enough” to trade for either. Pincus then claimed that Terrence Ross and Eric Gordon are “more likely” candidates for trades.

While the Los Angeles Lakers have designs on Simmons, Turner and Grant, the franchise may not have enough to get a deal done. Westbrook’s contract is all but unmovable. Talen Horton-Tucker hasn’t taken a step forward in his third season. A more likely market for the Lakers might be Terrence Ross of the Orlando Magic or Eric Gordon of the Rockets, provided either team wants to take a flyer on Horton-Tucker as a prospect.

Eric Gordon and Terrence Ross are both guards that can create their own shot and score from the perimeter. They are also players who know how to play their role and would be great fits next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Both could easily slide right into the Lakers rotation and improve spacing for the team’s slashers.

We’ll see if the Los Angeles Lakers end up making a trade, or whether they trust the talent currently on the roster to figure things out. There is no question that they need to improve, but what matters is the approach that the front office and the team take towards that goal.

Hopefully, we see the Los Angeles Lakers figure things out one way or another. They are a team that has looked out of sorts this season, but with LeBron James on the roster, they shouldn’t be counted out.
