Evan Fournier To A Reporter Asking Him About His Impressive Performances vs. Celtics: “It’s Funny Because When I Was In The Shower… I Mean, I Wasn’t Thinking About You In The Shower… I Was Thinking About That Question.”

New York Knicks’ Evan Fournier had a magical night against his former team, the Boston Celtics. Once again, he went off on the Greens, dropping 41 points to lead a 25-point comeback that ended up with RJ Barrett draining a buzzer-beater 3 to give his team a big win over a direct rival in the Eastern Conference.

The Frenchman really enjoys going against the Celtics and last night’s game was a big proof of that. He added 8 rebounds and 2 assists to his account, stealing the show in a frenetic night for the New York Knicks.

Following the game, Evan was asked about his performances against the Celtics since they are always impressive. He didn’t have the best experience at TD Garden and seems extra motivated against the C’s. When somebody asked him about that, he had a curious response, revealing he was already thinking about it in the shower. The bad thing is that he couldn’t find the words to explain that at the beginning.

“It’s funny because when I was in the shower… I mean, I wasn’t thinking about you in the shower… I was thinking about that question.”

Regardless of that confusing answer, Fournier had a terrific night, once again destroying the Celtics and making it clear he’s out for blood whenever he faces his former team. He’s 35.0 points per game on 54.1% shooting from 3-point range against the 17-time NBA champions.

He’s playing with a chip on his shoulder whenever he sees C’s. He arrived in Boston expected to help Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, but he struggled to find his position on the team. After that, he signed with the Knicks and even though he’s struggled with them too, Fournier doesn’t miss when he faces the Celtics.
