Stephen Curry has recently passed the all-time 3PT record against the New York Knicks, making enough 3PT shots to surpass Ray Allen’s 2973 regular season 3PT shots. There’s no doubt that breaking this record has solidified his status as the greatest shooter ever.

There are definitely people who would have taken players such as Ray Allen or Reggie Miller over Stephen Curry in the past. However, there’s no question that Stephen Curry’s greatness can no longer be denied.

After the Knicks-Warriors matchup, Stephen Curry was asked about who the greatest shooter ever is by the media. Stephen Curry joked about it and claimed that “I got that now”, referring to the best shooter title.

Stephen Curry changed the entire game of basketball with his shooting from beyond the arc. There has never been anyone who could shoot 3PT shots as efficiently and from the range that Stephen Curry does. There is a reason that he is a superstar, and it’s obvious that he maximized his talent to become an all-time great.

The Golden State Warriors will aim to win another championship this season, and if they are able to do so, they’ll be up to 4 championships during Stephen Curry’s tenure on the roster. Governor Joe Lacob previously claimed that he wants Stephen Curry to equal LeBron James in championships, and perhaps we’ll see that happen this season. Perhaps Stephen Curry could even win the Finals MVP award that is currently missing from his trophy cabinet.

There is no question that the Golden State Warriors still have room to improve. They are still missing All-Star Klay Thompson and No. 2 pick James Wiseman. The center position is definitely an area of weakness for the team right now, and adding an athletic center like Wiseman would help shore that up. We’ll see what happens in the future, but things are definitely looking positive for them.
