Adam Silver Responds To LeBron James’ Criticism Of All-Star Game, Says Some Things Must Be Handled ‘In The Family’

Adam Silver had a very moved Saturday, talking with reporters about the current topics in the NBA. The commissioner is a very busy man, but he’s always in touch with all the things happening in the association. As usual, Silver met with reporters to reply to all of their questions, but this time he couldn’t do it in person with all the things happening in the world.

During a Zoom call with journalists from around the world, he addressed the most important topics in the NBA right now, including the All-Star Game. Silver was asked about LeBron James’ criticism for the league deciding to carry out the game after they announced that wasn’t going to happen this season.

“I have zero energy and zero excitement about an All-Star game this year,” James said in February. “I don’t even understand why we’re having an All-Star game, but it’s the agreement that the players’ association and the league came about … It’s pretty much kind of a slap in the face.”

Silver explained that he understood LeBron’s point of view but he could have managed things better and try to talk that with the league’s front office and the NBPA to try to find a better solution to this.

“We’re all part of a community. I respect him and his point of view,” the commissioner said. “Also, at the same time, I appreciate his professionalism … My sense is he’s going to be here, as he always is, as a top-notch professional and engaged in the game. Again, I respect his point of view, but it seems like issues that can be worked out in the family, so to speak.”

Things are going as normally as possible today. The league announced they will try to make a good show for fans, putting together a very good event that will start at 6:30 p.m. ET with the 3-point contest.

LeBron will try to lead his team to victory for the fourth consecutive year, this time against Team Durant, after beating Giannis Antetokounmpo in the past three years after the game changed its format. We are ready to see a very good game and everybody who traveled to Atlanta will give their best to make fans enjoy one of the most important days of the league.
