Adrian Wojnarowski Says “There’s Optimism” Victor Oladipo Could Make Season Debut For Miami Heat Within Two Weeks

When healthy, Victor Oladipo is a solid two-way guard that can provide perimeter defense and supplementary scoring. He’s a solid shooter and slasher and has previously been selected to two All-Star games.

While Victor Oladipo has been sidelined for the Miami Heat, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN revealed that he could potentially make his season debut “within two weeks”, saying “there is optimism” on that front.

There is optimism that Miami Heat guard Victor Oladipo could make his season debut within the next two weeks, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Friday.

Oladipo, ramping up after offseason quad tendon surgery, joined the Heat on their current six-game road trip and could be ready to play as soon as the second week of March, sources said.

Oladipo, who first had surgery on the quad tendon in January 2019, arrived in Miami in a March 2021 trade-deadline deal with the Houston Rockets and played four games before reinjuring the quad in April. He has been rehabbing the injury since the second surgery was performed May 13.

The Miami Heat are a contender, and if Victor Oladipo can get healthy, he will be a big difference-maker for the team. While it is unlikely that he’ll play starter-level minutes, he would be a perfectly fine rotational option that can provide scoring and defense for the team.

Injuries are an unfortunate part of sports, and hopefully, Victor Oladipo has fully recovered from his quad tendon surgery. He has previously stated that he wants to be one of the best injury comeback stories ever, and perhaps he’ll be able to do so. It has been a rough few years for Victor Oladipo, and he has not played more than 40 games in a season since the 2017-18 season with the Indiana Pacers. Hopefully, Victor Oladipo can bounce back and show the world his talent once again.
