Jayson Tatum is one of the league’s top-rising young superstars. The forward is well-known for his two-way play and shot creation, and is leading a Boston Celtics roster that is currently No. 2 in the Eastern Conference.

Despite his talent and ability, Jayson Tatum has struggled with his shooting over the course of the last few games. It is normal for superstar players to go through slumps from time to time. Recently, Al Horford claimed that he’s not worried about Jayson Tatum’s shooting.

Every single great player finds a way to bounce back from a shooting slump, and it is only a matter of time before Jayson Tatum starts shooting efficiently once again. The key for the Celtics is to peak at the right time, and they’ll be firing on all cylinders once Tatum gets back to his regular self.

As of right now, Jayson Tatum is averaging 30.1 PPG, 8.7 RPG, and 4.7 APG for the Boston Celtics, while shooting 46.0% from the field and 35.1% from the 3PT range. He has clearly been an MVP candidate this season, and it’ll be interesting to see if he can get the award this year.

Jayson Tatum Hilariously Wanted To Play For The Lakers Over The Celtics

Though Jayson Tatum is in a fantastic position to win a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers, he once revealed that he wanted to play for the Lakers. He noted that he didn’t like the Celtics earlier in his life, but is “thankful” to be in Boston now.

“My favorite player and my idol was Kobe and everybody knows that”, said Tatum. “So, I didn’t like the Celtics at all going up there. I only grew up, I was like, I’m gonna play for the Lakers. Honestly, I never knew what Boston was at. Like I knew only East Coast. But, I’d never been there, I never thought about going there. So, when I got drafted, it was kind of crazy. Like, I used to hate Celtics, and now, it worked out. Everything happen for a reason and I’m surely thankful to be here with this opportunity.”

There is no doubt that Jayson Tatum looks set to become a Boston Celtics legend in the future, and this is likely the team that people will most associate with him after he retires. The key for him will be bringing a championship to the franchise.

Hopefully, we see the Boston Celtics get deep in the playoffs this year. They definitely have the talent to make it back to the Finals, and we’ll see what ends up happening in the future.
