Amar’e Stoudemire clearly didn’t appreciate a recent report indicating he was arrested in Miami hours after getting a degree. Things were completely unexpected for everybody, as Stoudemire hadn’t been involved in these controversies and many were shocked by this.
According to the report, he was arrested after punching his daughter on the face for reportedly getting an attitude with the former Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks player.
Again, this happened hours after Stoudemire graduated, which made things crazier. It’s been a couple of days since that moment and the former big man had something to say about it.
Amar’e Stoudemire Denies That He Punched His Daughter On Her Face
With an Instagram post, Stoudemire broke his silence about this incident, denying that he did something wrong to his daughter. Amar’e is well aware that his physique is not a regular one and would be bad if he hit his daughter or anybody else.
“Over the past 24 hours, an incident at my family home led to my being charged with assaulting my daughter. It is an allegation based on a report that does not square with the facts… As the investigation unfolds, the facts will show the allegations to be groundless as my daughter’s medical condition is not the result of being assaulted by a father who is nearly 7 feet tall and weighs 250 pounds. I could never see myself assaulting any person, especially my children. As a father, I ask for your grace as we secure our space and privacy,” Stoudemire wrote.
These are some serious allegations that will need to be confirmed. According to the former player, who last worked for the Brooklyn Nets as an assistant coach, this is not true and he will try to bring light to this situation.
We hope everything is handled the best way here and nothing like this comes close to happening in the future.
