In six seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Andrew Wiggins only saw the postseason once — in which the Wolves were eliminated in five games in the first round.
Losing was somewhat of a norm for Minnesota, and Andrew was stuck in the middle of a dysfunctional franchise.
The trade to Golden State not only granted him a clean slate but a fresh start in a winning environment. According to Wiggins, the difference is night and day.

“We lost a lot in Minnesota. So coming here, being part of a winning culture, it’s different. Losing’s never fun. Being here, you can tell by everyone’s attitude, approach, everything that’s everywhere, they’re winners. That’s something I’ve wanted to be.”
Of course, the Warriors are bad this season, and they currently boast the worst record in the entire NBA. But with their rich history of winning and Steph, Klay, and Draymond returning next season, they have a future of Championship potential and a culture that demonstrates it.
Wiggins is in a new world now, playing for something much bigger than the Draft lottery. In his debut, he put up 24 points, 5 steals, and 3 assists on 66% shooting. The potential for success is through the roof.
