Anthony Davis Is Frustrated After Losing To Kings But Says Lakers Can Win 10, 12, 15 Games In A Row

As expected, every Los Angeles Lakers team member is disgusted with their latest defeat to the Sacramento Kings after three overtime periods. While fans are starting to lose hope in the super team, Anthony Davis still believes they can go on a run.

LeBron James, as the captain, took responsibility and also pointed out that he had a bad game. According to head coach Frank Vogel, James was allowed to run the offense for most of the game, but his shots were not falling.

Davis, who returned after a one-game absence, was also not as efficient from the field. He finished the game with 23 points on 9-of-22 shooting from the field, adding 8 rebounds, and four assists.

Speaking post-game, AD said (00:25):

“We’re very frustrated. We want to come home and win games, that was the first game after the road trip. That was a game we should’ve won.”

Continued:

“We got to be a better home team than we are right now."

He continued:

“It’s up to us, we got to go out and do it…We got to grind for it, we got to work for it.”

“We’re the Lakers. We got a team that’s well put together that can win 10, 12, 15 games in a row. We can do it. We just got to want to do it. We got to commit on the defensive end a little bit more for a full 48.”

Why is he confident that’s possible?

“We’re the Lakers. We got a team that’s well put together that can win 10, 12, 15 games in a row. We can do it. We just got to want to do it. We got to commit on the defensive end a little bit more for a full 48."

Judging by the caliber of players on the Lakers roster, Davis is not wrong in suggesting the Lakers can go on such a run. Unfortunately, their performances so far have not been anywhere close to the dominant elite team many hoped to see.

Russell Westbrook started the season slowly but is starting to find his rhythm. Although he has not had to handle the ball so much, he is doing a much better job protecting the ball and creating for his teammates. He has registered five triple-doubles so far this season.

The Lakers will have their chance to have another go at the Kings in four days. Hopefully, then they would put together a better all-around performance.
