Anthony Edwards keeps demonstrating he’s one of the future stars in the NBA although his Minnesota Timberwolves are the worst team in the league right now. The 2020 No. 1 overall pick has shown his talents night in and night out and recently put the team on his back to lead them to a close win over the Portland Trail Blazers, 114-112.
Edwards starred in another impressive play when he dunked over Robert Covington and made some clutch plays to take his team to the promised land. After his impressive display against the Blazers, Edwards was asked about the ongoing debate regarding the first overall pick in the 2020 draft. With all the things LaMelo Ball is doing and how well his team is playing, more people have started talking about what team made a mistake.

He had a clear response, shutting down all those comments and sending a big message to the people who are still worrying about that.
“Whoever is still talking about that, they can just kick rocks,” Edwards said postgame.

Edwards is not the favorite to win the ROY award this season, as LaMelo has been on another level. But, the T-Wolves star has shown his good level, too, and we can expect these two to compete to become the best players in the association in the future.
The decisions their respective teams made can’t be reversed and you can ask the Golden State Warriors about that, but these players are in a very good position right now, set to take dominate the league in the future.
