NBA Rumors: Los Angeles Clippers Reportedly Interested In George Hill

2 Min Read

The Los Angeles Clippers have been the subject of criticism in recent days and even more knowing how difficult last season was for them. The Angelenos team is trying to bounce back and actually compete for something meaningful in the league.

Kawhi Leonard isn’t happy with how things are going right now and they could be turning their heads to some assets that could improve their level in the last stretch of the regular season. Plenty of fans believe they need a point guard to reach the next level and they’ve reportedly identified some big names to fill that position.

Added to Kyle Lowry of the Toronto Raptors, George Hill appears to be another name earning interest from the Californians. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Clips are one of the franchises interested in the Oklahoma City Thunder player, but there is a catch.

Several playoff contenders have interest in both Hill and Ariza, sources say. The Clippers are among teams interested in Hill, sources said. Hill has been a positive veteran player for Oklahoma City, and coupled with the fact that he has another season left on his contract in 2021-22 ($10 million, partially guaranteed), the Thunder are happy retaining Hill into the second half of the season unless a team meets their asking price for the veteran point guard. Ariza, meanwhile, is on an expiring deal worth $12.8 million.

The Clips need to make some changes if they want to improve their level. They left a very bad impression last season and it’s time to change that narrative. Hill is a proven veteran who can add the playmaking they need. With 10 years left until the trade deadline strikes, we’re about to see some big changes around the association and the Clippers could be one of those teams looking to upgrade their roster.
