Anthony Edwards Says Kevin Durant, Not LeBron James, Is The Best Player In The NBA: “Kevin Durant Is The Best Player In The League. He’s 7 Feet, Unguardable. He Can Do Everything A Little Guard Can Do. That’s Easy. That’s Who I’m Ready To Play.”

Anthony Edwards just landed in the NBA and is already making noise around the league. 2020 No. 1 overall pick has revealed who he thinks is the best player in the league right now. That conversation will always have LeBron James and another player; most of the time it’s Kevin Durant and Edwards is convinced the Brooklyn Nets star is the best player in the league right now.

After being drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves, Edwards somehow took a shot a LeBron James, saying that KD is the one he wants to play against in the association.

Edwards: “That’s easy. The player I’m most excited to play against: Kevin Durant.”

Why him?

Edwards: “Just because he’s the best player in the league. He’s 7 feet, unguardable. He can do everything a little guard can do. That’s easy. That’s who I’m ready to play.”

LeBron has been holding that title for several years now and he always gets overlooked every single season. Last year it was Kawhi Leonard or Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bron won the title; this year, the No. 1 pick in the draft says KD is better than him and even if he doesn’t publicly say it, he will use that as motivation. KD is great, he’s an NBA champion and an MVP award winner, but plenty of fans still think he has to win a lot to at least catch up with LeBron James.

In terms of pure talent, though, young players believe that KD has no competition in the league. LaMelo Ball, another top pick, also said that without stats, KD was the GOAT for him.
