Adrian Wojnarowski Says Warriors Are Optimistic That Klay Thompson “May Not Miss The Entire Season.”

Klay Thompson suffered a lower leg injury this Wednesday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported. Klay was getting ready for the 2020/21 NBA season after missing last campaign due to an ACL suffered during the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. Klay was ready to show his doubters wrong this season and now things could have gotten worse for him and the Warriors following this news.

Wojnarowski added that the injury involves his right lower leg. The prior one was on his left knee. This has obviously set the alarms for the Warriors since they would face another season without their second most important player.

However, not everything for them. Wojnarowski later added that the Warriors are optimistic that Klay won’t miss the entire NBA season, depending on the severity of this injury.

“There is concern about this injury and perhaps the severity of it. They don’t know yet, they don’t know how severe it is. There’s still some hope that they’re going to get a result tomorrow that is not significant. There’s still some optimism that Klay Thompson may not miss the entire season,” Woj said on SportsCenter.

The Warriors are waiting for the best, but everything points out that Klay will miss a big chunk of the season. If he’s somehow able to return at some point, that would be great for them and would give them a boost to face the rest of the season. This is terrible for Klay and his team but now he can get even more motivated.
