Bam Adebayo is having a terrific season with the Miami Heat, no doubt about it. He has become the second-best player on the team behind Jimmy Butler and is leading his squad to be one of the favorites to come out of the East. The big man is a Most Improved Player candidate and he keeps improving his numbers.

Adebayo had more than one reason to improve his game, as Dwyane Wade recently revealed. The Miami Heat legend knew that Bam was going to be great this season seeing the confidence he had before the campaign started. On Tuesday, Wade revealed a little conversation he had with the power forward/center where they bet on Bam’s numbers this year.

“October 8th, me and Bam had a conversion about his season and we were predicting his stats,” Wade said on Tuesday night. “I said Bam was going to average 14 points, eight rebounds and three and a half assists. Bam told me I was crazy, and was going to average 16 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.”

Flash was asked what Adebayo is currently averaging and he couldn’t help but laugh.

“16 points, 10 rebounds and five assists,” Wade replied to TNT’s Adam Lefkoe.

To be more specific, he’s recording 16.3 points, 10.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game this season. Bam is doing a lot of impressive things this season, even earning his first call to the All-Star game. The 23-year-old is on the rise to stardom and the Heat can’t be happier to have him on the roster. They have a great group of players for the future and obviously, Bam is part of their plans.

Tonight, they will face the Milwaukee Bucks in the bubble, with Bam hoping to lock Giannis Antetokounmpo, the biggest threat for the Heat and the rest of the Eastern Conference.
