Some fans wanted Haliburton to start the game over Jalen Brunson.
Not starting Hali over Brunson is hilarious at this point. It’s not hard to see he’s better https://t.co/id5VGNewQx

Team USA started strong in a now-or-never game against Italy carving a 10-point lead by the end of the first quarter. Bridges was phenomenal with his 8-of-11 shooting, while Haliburton caught fire later on to hit six three-pointers coming off the bench to help the side lead by 30+ points for most of the second half.
This was exactly the kind of bounce-back Team USA needed after losing to Lithuania in their final game of the second round on Sunday.
Team USA will return to action on Friday, September 8, when it faces the winner of Wednesday’s game between Latvia and Germany.
