Ben Simmons is one of the best young stars in the league when he’s healthy. Simmons is a legitimate 5-position defender who also rebounds well, is an elite playmaker, and is someone who thrives in transition. Overall, he is a fantastic player that will boost a team’s chances of winning.

During the trade deadline, Ben Simmons was traded to the Brooklyn Nets. While he wasn’t there to help the Brooklyn Nets avoid getting swept by the Boston Celtics due to an injury, there is no doubt that he will be crucial for the team next season.

A recent report by Brian Lewis of the New York Post revealed that Ben Simmons is “progressing well” in his rehab, and should be ready for the start of training camp. There is no doubt that this is a good sign for the Brooklyn Nets.

Ben Simmons is “progressing well” in his rehab from May 5 back surgery according to a source close to the player. The Nets star is “is in great spirits” and should be ready in time for training camp.

On paper, Ben Simmons is the perfect player to put next to Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. He doesn’t demand a lot of touches on the offensive end, while also doing the dirty work on the defensive end. His playmaking should in theory get them easier shots as well.

The Brooklyn Nets should in theory be a much better team next season, and they should in theory be a contender based on the fact that they have a superstar and two supporting All-Star caliber players. However, this year has shown that they can’t just rely on talent and that chemistry and continuity are also required.

Hopefully, we see the Brooklyn Nets be a good team and make a deep playoff run next season. They have the talent to do so on paper, and now, it’s all about putting it together.
