Bleacher Report

The Philadelphia 76ers have officially clinched the Eastern Conference’s first seed, meaning they can enjoy home-court advantage throughout the playoffs.

Still, the play-in tournament has many folks wondering which team the Sixers would rather face. According to Simmons, though, they’re not necessarily too worried about it themselves…

“I don’t care who we play. That’s the point of having the No. 1 seed. You feel like you’re the best team in your conference so you’re supposed to be able to play anybody. If we were scared, we shouldn’t be in this position.”

With the playoffs approaching, Simmons is making it a point to stay confident in his team’s ability.

They are, after all, the first seed for a reason. Between Ben, Joel Embiiid, Tobias Harris, and head coach Doc Rivers, they have a core capable of competing with anyone.

The question is, how far can they get in the postseason? The Sixers don’t exactly have a good track record, and this yea’s path to the FInals includes some really powerhouses (hello Brooklyn).

It will take nothing short of a miracle for the Sixers to make it through. But the level of confidence held by their leader, Ben Simmons, is certainly an indicator that they’re in a good headspace.
