The Wizards have had a bad start to the season: they are currently in 14th place in the Eastern Conference, with a 7-17 record. Despite that, they have recently beat the Boston Celtics, who are a solid defensive team led by Brad Stevens.
Bradley Beal has recently spoken out about Russell Westbrook’s impact on the Washington Wizards and their play. The Wizards’ star was very outspoken about Westbrook’s value:
Bradley Beal on Russell Westbrook: "We have a guy who pushes us every night. Russ pushes me. He makes sure I’m ready to go. And I think that’s something I’ve definitely channeled this year."

Russell Westbrook was known to be a good leader throughout his career, and his ability to rally his teammates for a win is amazing. Westbrook brings effort in every game, even if he isn’t scoring the ball. While Westbrook hasn’t had a great year by his standards, it is only a matter of time before he bounces back.
Russell Westbrook’s effort is contagious, and it seems like it is rubbing off on his teammates. Hopefully, the Washington Wizards can bounce back, and possibly make it to a playoff seed with time.

Russell Westbrook wants to make sure that Bradley Beal brings the same energy every night as he did against the Celtics. Bradley Beal could become a future great: but first, he must have some success on the team level. With Westbrook in the mix, the Wizards might just make a comeback.
