Bradley Beal Refuses To Commit To Wizards After Game 5 Loss

It was a miracle that Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook were able to lift the Wizards into the 2021 playoffs. After such a rough season, they really had no business capturing the 8th seed in the Conference.

But just 5 games after booking their ticket, the Wizards have been eliminated at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers.

After the game, Bradley Beal refused to express any long-term commitment to the franchise, instead of remaining non-committal.

Beal’s future with the Wizard has been a subject of conversation for years now. In spite of his previous showings of loyalty to the team, the Wizards have struggled to build a contending roster around the 3x All-Star.

The acquisition of Westbrook was seen as a major move for the team, but it hasn’t ended particularly well.

In a deep Conference that is only getting better (with Brooklyn, Milwaukee, Miami, and Philadelphia), the Wizards still have a long way to go before they can hope to be considered among the elites.

How much longer Beal is willing to wait for the Wizards to make the right moves remains to be seen, but you can’t blame him if he’s starting to get impatient.

We’ll just have to wait and see for ourselves what the future has in store.
