Despite being down 3-1, Knicks fans remained optimistic that their team would find a way to win Game 5 at home and push the series to a 6th game.

Instead, they got blown off the floor by a young and angry Hawks team, led by the incredible Trae Young.

Knicks superfan, Spike Lee, who was watching it all unfold, decided he couldn’t take it anymore, and decided to bail minutes before the final buzzer.

No doubt, many Knicks fans share Lee’s frustration. After such a promising and inspiring season, in which the Knicks made the playoffs for the first time since 2013, it could not have been good to see them go down like that.

Julius Randle has been bad all series long, Trae Young got back at the fans who tried to intimidate him, and the team was just one game removed from being swept in the very first round.

Needless to say, Wednesday night was not a good conclusion for what was otherwise a stellar season for the Knicks.

The only question now is, what’s next? Where do they go from here?

The team looks to be in a good position moving forward, but the front office has a lot of decisions to make this offseason.

We’ll see how it goes…
