Draymond Green On the Warriors: “We’ll Win The Finals Again Next Year.”

The Spun

It’s been almost two years since the Golden State Warriors last made an appearance in the NBA Finals, and a lot has changed.

With no Kevin Durant, and Klay Thompson still working his way back from injury, the Warriors aren’t the dominant team they used to be, and nobody can be sure they’ll ever come close to that again.

But for star forward Draymond Green, he’s confident that his squad will rule the NBA once again.

In a chat with Bleacher Report, he delivered a quick response when asked how the Warriors will look next season upon Klay Thompson’s return.

I think we’ll win the Finals again next year. Zero doubt.

As an excellent marksman, and one of the best two-way players in the game, Klay Thompson’s return will bode well for the franchise, and it may be enough to make them relevant in the West again.

But even if he does return and is able to play at a high level, the Warriors have lost a lot of depth on the roster, and the Western Conference has only gotten tougher.

They’d have to contend with the Lakers, Clippers, Suns, Jazz, and even the Blazers.

It won’t be an easy feat by any stretch, and Golden State will almost certainly not be the favorites. But last time we saw a healthy Steph and Klay together, they practically destroyed the NBA.

Who is to say they couldn’t do that again?
