Breaking: Kristaps Porzingis Is Ruled Out For The Season After Being Diagnosed With Torn Right Meniscus

1 Min Read

The Dallas Mavericks might be one of the brightest young teams in the league. Brimming with talent, and being led by two young superstars with a high ceiling, the Mavs are going to be a force in this league for a long time.

Unfortunately, their future has fallen under some doubt after it was revealed that Kristaps Porzingis has suffered a torn meniscus. The report came moments ago by The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

This is obviously a huge blow to the Mavericks, who are not only fighting in this seasons’ playoffs, but hope to do the same next year. With this being the second major injury in KP’s 3-year career, fans couldn’t help but feel for the young Latvian big man.

Obviously it will be tough for Dallas to make up for his absence, even with Luka going bonkers. He was averaging 20.4 points and 9.5 rebounds for them this season.

As what’s next, rehab and recovery will begin for Porzingis as Dallas continues to look for ways to improve their roster. Let’s all hope for a quick and successful return to the court.
