The Boston Celtics just won their first Eastern Conference Finals since 2010 in a hard-fought series against the Miami Heat. The Celtics won the series in 7 games, with the Heat not being able to match the offensive pace that the Celtics had set throughout the series. Despite their struggles, Jimmy Butler almost willed them to win this game single-handedly.

After being perennial playoff participants for the last few years, even losing a couple of Conference Finals series, this core led by Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown finally will make it to the NBA Finals and face the Golden State Warriors.

Fans on Twitter were shocked at the way the game played out. Jimmy Butler’s heroics went completely unrewarded before people turned on him for a disastrous final shot to try and cut the deficit down. Meanwhile, the Celtics are being lauded for completing an incredible season turnaround with a trip to the NBA Finals.

Give Al Horford some type of award for his work in this series. Masterful. He's going to be sore all week.

Tatum in his 5th season

All Star Starter
1st team All NBA
Lead his team to the finals beating KD Giannis & the #1 seed

If he closes this off with a finals MVP over Steph & the Warriors this is one of the greatest seasons ever regardless of age

Jimmy Butler’s last shot may define some of the conversations coming out of this game, but there can’t be any hate thrown at him. He left it all on the court and was easily one of the best players through the entire post-season this year.

The Heat needs to look at their roster and make some very tough decisions to ensure that this team can stay competitive as Butler continues to age and still sits on a massive contract. He’s playing up to the price tag, but will the players around him step up? We will have to wait and see that next season.

A great season for the Miami Heat has ended in utter disappointment as they have to wait longer to get their revenge after their 2020 Finals loss. Boston will go on to the stage of the NBA Finals for the first time with this core and look to topple the championship-laden Golden State Warriors.
