The Boston Celtics have finally punched their ticket to go back to the NBA Finals after years of failing in the Eastern Conference Finals. They beat the Miami Heat in 7 games, the same team that eliminated them from the 2020 ECF in the bubble. The Celtics have finally gotten their revenge and will now face off against the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors romped through the Western Conference, not being stretched to a single game seven through their matchups against the Denver Nuggets, Memphis Grizzlies, and Dallas Mavericks. Boston is the only team to have swept an opponent in this post-season with their first-round sweep over the Brooklyn Nets.

The fanbases are already preparing for the Finals that will start on Thursday and could possibly stretch to June 19 in the case of a game seven. But what do the fanbases have to say about this matchup? Both sides are optimistic, but it seems the Warriors are being picked to be the winners of the title:

Boston has already played a total of 18 games in the playoffs as compared to the Golden State Warriors, who have played just 16. In addition, the Warriors have also had nearly a week off from their series win over the Dallas Mavericks, meanwhile; the Celtics were just pushed to a Game 7 in a very physical series against the Heat.

If there is any team with the pieces to slow down the Warriors, it is Boston, whose defense has been lauded all year long to be one of the best. They have already used this skill to get past magnetic offensive players like Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Jimmy Butler.

The Warriors’ team offense against the Celtics’ team defense is going to make for an incredibly fun matchup that fans around the world can’t wait to watch.
