Charles Barkley Believes The Chicago Bulls Had The Best Offseason In The NBA

The Chicago Bulls have had a busy free agency this season. They made some big moves for marquee names such as Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan, as well as a great defensive guard in Alex Caruso. It seems as though they are committed to making win-now moves to help Zach LaVine, and next year should certainly be exciting for Chicago Bulls, with an opportunity to get back into the playoff hunt.

NBA legend Charles Barkley believes that the Chicago Bulls have had the best offseason in the NBA, and stated that he would be shocked if the Bulls missed the playoffs. While Charles Barkley is known for hot-takes, there are certainly good reasons for this particular statement, as the 6x NBA champions certainly have had a great offseason.

Interesting opinion from Charles Barkley about the Bulls on @WaddleandSilvy: "I'll be totally shocked if they don't make the playoffs. And I'm not just saying this … I think it's fair to say the Chicago Bulls have had the best offseason in the NBA."

There’s no doubt that the Chicago Bulls have a lot of elite offensive talent. Zach LaVine is a top-tier scorer and athlete. Nikola Vucevic and DeMar DeRozan are both extremely gifted offensive players as well, who have playoff experience. Lonzo Ball is also a promising player, and perhaps the Chicago Bulls are the franchise where he can play up to his potential and become that elite two-way point guard that people project him to be. With the players they have, they definitely should be able to make the playoffs, and perhaps even win a series.

They still have a lot of work to do, and their best players figuring out how to play with one another will be part of the challenge. Sometimes, lots of high-usage players on the same team don’t end up meshing well together, though to be fair, there are a lot of times that they do. Regardless, the team certainly has a lot of promise, and perhaps we’ll see one of the most iconic franchises in the NBA make their way back into the playoffs.
