Charles Barkley is considered among the best forwards to play in the history of the league. Although Barkley never won an NBA Championship in his career, there are many other accolades he did win during his time in the league.
However, let’s not focus on Barkley’s career in the NBA today. Instead, we will be taking a look at Chuck’s life off the court. Barkley recently talked about a 24-year-old tradition that he follows with his 14 friends to spend quality time with each other.
The primary reason behind it is the fact that Barkley and co. go to Las Vegas to enjoy the Super Bowl with each other.
Charles Barkley’s Tradition Of Going To Las Vegas With His 14 Friends For 24 Straight Years
The NBA legend recently sat down for an amazing interview with Jimmy Kimmel. Right off the bat, Kimmel asked Charles Barkley why he has been going to Las Vegas with a bunch of old pals for the last 24 years.

“This is the 24th year, I got about 14 guys. These are old pals. I mean they’re at least 24. So they got to be old. We had a great time until the game ended.”
“My friends are poor,” Barkley added. “I have three guys stay with me and then we spread out everywhere. It’s always the same three guys, Roy, Brandon, and Stuart. We get up early and play golf, believe it or not. That’s just fun gambling, not real gambling.”
Barkley’s answer proved that the former NBA superstar primarily goes to Las Vegas to enjoy quality time with his friends. Be it gambling with each other or simply playing golf in the afternoon. The end goal is to spend an amazing time with his friends.
Considering that Barkley is still associated with the league as an NBA analyst and has managed to maintain this tradition for 24 years is something that deserves a lot of praise.
