Kevin Durant is set to start a new chapter in his NBA career with the Phoenix Suns, trying to win another championship after a tumultuous tenure in Brooklyn, where he starred and witnessed controversies on the Nets.

Things ended when Kyrie Irving was traded to the Dallas Mavericks, and Durant followed through, going to Phoenix in a move that sent Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, Jae Crowder, and four first-round picks to Brooklyn. Durant already touched down in Phoenix, and NBA fans quickly trolled him, but the player isn’t focused on that.

Still, the comments about this new chapter keep coming, and many people are wondering if Durant is the piece that Devin Booker and Chris Paul need to win the NBA championship.

Charles Barkley Thinks Kevin Durant Can Change The ‘Bus Rider’ Narrative With A Title In Phoenix

Charles Barkley has been a big critique of Durant, as he called the 2x NBA champion a bus rider last year, re-igniting their intense beef. KD recently called out Chuck for wanting to change teams during his NBA career, pointing out the hypocrisy from the former player-turned-analyst.

Still, it seems like Chuck is willing to change his mind about Durant, but it’ll take a lot to make this possible, as Barkley thinks he must win in Phoenix to be considered a bus driver.

“There’s a tremendous amount of pressure on him. He should lead that team. If they win it, older guys like myself will give him the credit… He’s sensitive about it but he don’t get to change the narrative.”

Chuck and KD have starred in big battles in recent years, and it doesn’t seem like that will stop anytime soon. These two have strong characters, and they hardly ever back down when trying to prove their points. They will now have the opportunity to say they played for the same team, but it remains to be seen if KD has better luck than Chuck and takes the Phoenix Suns to the promised land at the end of the season.
