Players dream of becoming the best when they make it to the NBA. That means making All-Star teams, getting selected to All-NBA teams, winning MVPs, and obviously, winning championships. But while those individual achievements are all impressive, only the genuinely elite that achieve most of those get the distinct honor of being in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall Of Fame.

The Hall Of Fame is reserved for the true greats, players that were among the best on their teams and found a lot of individual and team success during their careers in the league. Players are required to be retired for 4 full seasons before they can be considered eligible, and they aren't the only ones, with coaches also vying for earning the prestigious honor. The list of finalists for the 2023 class was released recently.

Dwyane Wade is one of the greatest guards ever, Dirk Nowitzki owns that distinction at the power forward position, and Gregg Popovich is the winningest Head Coach of all time. Apart from them, even Pau Gasol and Tony Parker have made it as finalists, although they are unlikely to get on the first ballot. But the congratulations have already started pouring in for the finalists that were named.

LeBron James Shared Instagram Stories Congratulating The Hall Of Fame Finalists

LeBron James played against and alongside Dwyane Wade, notably winning 2 rings with him in Miami. James had the worst series of his life against Dirk Nowitzki and the 2011 Mavericks, so he remembers how good the big German was too. And Pop and LeBron have always shared a nice relationship, even. though Popovich handed him his first-ever Finals loss while adding another to the tally in 2014. But James made it a point to congratulate all of them on an Instagram story

That he was supporting all of these legends goes without saying, but it's odd to see him leave former Lakers facovrite Pau Gasol off of his congratulations list. There's a lot of love behind these posts though, James seems to genuinely appreciate the people that changed his career in more ways than one. LeBron will be a first-ballot Hall Of Famer when it's his time, but for now, he seems happy to cheer for those already getting their first look in.
