The Chicago Bulls’ social media team didn’t earn any fans. After losing 125-104 to the Phoenix Suns, they further dug themselves into a deeper hole by calling Kevin Durant and DeMar DeRozan two of the best scorers ever, irking fans.

Needless to say, it wasn’t just the Bulls fans who were miffed, but also supporters of other teams who believed the side could do much better and reflect on their fledgling campaign instead of trying to hype up players.

The responses to the above post weren’t exactly what the Bulls were expecting. “Now why would y’all set your own player up like this?” one of the fans asked.

“I see why the bulls ain’t won a title since Jordan with this type of logic,” another fan commented.

Some just couldn’t believe what they read. “????? MJ LITERALLY PLAYED FOR YOUR FRANCHISE,” a fan tweeted.

There was some support incoming for DeRozan. “Demar has more career points than Steph Curry, Damian Lillard, and Tracy McGrady. Just saying…” a fan opined.

On the game front, the Bulls suffered their second defeat in three games. While Zach LaVine (27 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists) and DeRozan (31 points and 6 assists) played their part, the Suns were a better team with Durant and Booker notching up 20 and 35 points respectively.

Are Kevin Durant And DeMar DeRozan Actually The Best Shooters In The NBA?

In the Bulls’ defense, both Durant and DeRozan are bonafide shooters who greatly contribute to the offensive end of their respective teams.

The veteran is 49.9%  from the field and has a solid 38.4% from beyond the arc. DeRozan is pretty much alongside Durant with a 46.8 FG%, but his three-point shooting has seen a decline in recent times as he shoots just 28.9%.

On the points front, DeRozan is 39th on the All-time scoring list with 21,324 points, while Durant is miles ahead and placed 13th with 35,970 points. That the latter has played fewer games than the Bulls’ star further adds to Durant’s greatness and his case a prolific scorer.

All things considered, both players are vital cogs for their teams. While the Suns are relatively better placed in the West, the Bulls are struggling with a 29-35 record and are placed 11th in the East. They will need more from their team if they intend to make the postseason.
