Paul George is one of the best two-way wings in the game currently. He has been out for the Los Angeles Clippers for quite some time, and the team has sorely missed his scoring. However, it seems as though he may be returning to the fold soon.

Farbod Esnaashari of All Clippers has recently revealed that Paul George is “targeting a return to game action” at some point this week. There are a few possible options for him to return barring some sort of setback.

Sources have told AllClippers that George is targeting a return to game action this week. The Clippers have four games this week, so as long as there are no setbacks, he is on track to return during either: March 29 at home against Utah, in either of the team’s upcoming road games on March 31 at Chicago and April 1 at Milwaukee, or at the latest, home on April 3 against New Orleans.

Hopefully, Paul George returns sooner rather than later, though the priority is clearly him being as healthy as possible. The Los Angeles Clippers definitely need him in top-tier shape by the time the play-in tournament rolls around, as his shot creation and defense will be extremely valuable in a postseason setting. There were rumors that Paul George could potentially be out for the season that circulated earlier in the year, and it’s fantastic to see that is not the case.

A healthy Los Angeles Clippers team is definitely a contender in the Western Conference. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George a fantastic duo, and there’s no doubt that they could potentially make a push for the championship if both are healthy by the play-in tournament. We’ll see how things end up shaking out for them, and perhaps we’ll see them back as contenders as early as this season.
