Teammates in the NBA often form a special bond with each other. Playing together on a regular basis, traveling across the country, and spending a lot of time together inevitably allows players to get close together. They become friends and try to be there for each other whenever possible.

That is what we saw from the Orlando Magic’s young stars, Cole Anthony and Markelle Fultz. Cole Anthony was asked to take a blood test since he is afraid of needles, he asked his teammate Markelle Fultz to be there with him. Fultz even held him as he was terrified and screaming about getting a needle inserted into his arm.

It was a heartwarming moment between Fultz and Anthony. Fultz was being a good friend and teammate trying to help Cole get over his fear and get through the difficult experience. Perhaps this experience will allow the two players to get closer together, and play better with each other when they’re on the court.

Cole Anthony has had a difficult time recently, starting with his performance in the the 2022 NBA Dunk Contest at All-Star weekend. The Dunk Contest was quite poor, and many even considered it the worst NBA Dunk Contest of all time. The contrast between the participants of the 1985 and 2022 Dunk Contest was truly spectacular.

Fans were not happy with the Dunk Contest at All-Star weekend, letting their frustration be known on social media. All 4 contestants will be hoping to move on going forward and try to forget the showcase they all put on.

Cole Anthony will be hoping that he doesn’t have to get injected with any more needles going forward. But if he does, his teammate Markelle Fultz will be around to help him and guide him through the stressful situation.
