Dallas Mavericks Are 5-0 In Playoffs Games At Staples Center: 2-0 vs. Lakers, 3-0 vs. Clippers

2 Min Read

The Dallas Mavericks have taken a 3-2 lead in their first-round series against the Los Angeles Clippers. This team eliminated them in the bubble last year, and the Texans are looking for revenge.

Things are different for the Mavs this campaign, though. They are back home, and even though they have lost their first two games at the American Airlines Center, Dallas looks unstoppable when they travel to Los Angeles.

They have won the three games they’ve played at the Staples Center this year, bringing their record in the arena to 5-0. Redditor “G1Spectrum” pointed out that the Mavs are ruling the Staples Center in the postseason.

This dominance started at the beginning of the 2010s when they easily got rid of the Los Angeles Lakers.

  • Mavs 2-0 against the Lakers in 2011
  • Mavs 3-0 against the Clippers in 2021

10 years later, Luka Doncic has become a nightmare for fans at the arena, but this time he’s terrifying the Clippers. So far, the visitors have won all the games of this series. The Mavs have won all three matches played in Los Angeles.

Although there are 10 years of differences, this is still curious. It seems like the Mavs have found their place in the world and it’s not necessarily in Dallas. Who would have thought they could make away-court advantage a thing…
