LeBron James and Dwyane Wade entered the league together as two of the best players from the 2003 NBA draft class. Over the years, the two stars have become very close friends, and even today, fans love to see the brotherly bond between them.

D-Wade has already retired from the league, but LeBron James is still going strong and is aiming to win more NBA Championships before retiring from the NBA.

Speaking of the duo and NBA titles, we are sure you must remember when the two players partnered up to play together in Miami alongside Chris Bosh. It gave birth to not only one of the best teams ever assembled in the NBA but one of the most hated ones as well.

So when the trio started off their stint playing together, most of the NBA community was rooting against them and was hoping that they would fail. Well, Wade and LBJ handled the criticisms pretty well and even qualified for the 2011 NBA Finals. But they couldn’t finish the job against Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks.

David Fizdale’s Story About LeBron James And Dwyane Wade’s Competitiveness

2011 is usually remembered for the failure of the Heat in the NBA Finals. But the former assistant coach of the franchise David Fizdale once shared an amazing story about Wade and LeBron from that year’s training camp.

(Starts at 2:00):

“Dwyane and LeBron tried to kill each other. Every day was a war, and all we worked on was our defense… Our offense was so far behind the rest of the game. That training camp was a big part of us winning titles later. It was the best training camp I’ve ever been a part of.

The Heat might not have won the NBA title that season, but as revealed by Fizdale, it helped the team in their future seasons.

Following the underwhelming 2010-2011 NBA season, the Heat won back-to-back NBA Championships, and LeBron won the first two rings of his NBA career while wearing the Heat jersey.
