The play-in game between the Chicago Bulls and Toronto Raptors was an entertaining affair with an unlikely hero for the Bulls. Chicago overcame a 19-point deficit to clinch the win.

DeMar DeRozan’s daughter Diar was a crucial component behind the Raptors shooting 50% on free throws, going viral for screaming at the Raps free throw shooters. DeMar reacted to his daughter’s new-found fame.

“She went viral. I kept hearing something during the game. I looked back and I was like, damn, that’s my daughter screaming?”

DeMar also delivered some bad news to Bulls fans hoping to see Diar do the same to the Miami Heat on Friday, but she will not be traveling for the game as she has to attend school.

The Bulls fought really well to overcome their 19-point deficit, but couldn’t have done it without Diar DeRozan’s contributions.

Can Making The Playoffs Improve The Bulls’ Future Outlook?

The Chicago Bulls have had a bad season for their expectations. Fighting their way into the play-in as the 10th seed is not their idea of success, especially if all that leads to is being swept by the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round. The team still has to figure out its roster for next season, with players like Nikola Vucevic and Coby White on the verge of free agency.

Beating the Miami Heat and making the playoffs will give the Bulls a reason to smile after knowing they don’t own their first-round pick this season, so their efforts weren’t for nothing. It may give the front office more confidence about retooling this core in the summer instead of going through another rebuild.
