The next edition of one of the most popular basketball video game franchises is nearing its release date. It’s the perfect time to release the game as the 2021-22 NBA season just got over a month ago.
The release of the new game means that fans will also get to see new athletes appearing as cover athletes. This time around, the opportunity has been presented to Phoenix Suns superstar Devin Booker.
Booker will be taking on the role of cover athlete for NBA 2K23, but for the standard edition. As for the special edition? Any guesses? Well, it will be none other than Chicago Bulls legend and NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan.
Anyway, speaking D-Book as the cover athlete. Most fans were skeptical of this decision, but they are accepting it slowly even more so, after seeing the leaked cover of NBA 2K23 featuring Booker on it.
The cover looks amazing. But it could very well be a fan art which is being circulated as a leaked cover for the game. Regardless, basketball fans were quick to share their honest opinion on the cover.

As it turns out, most fans aren’t denying that the cover is indeed good. But still, most sections of the crowd believe other players were more deserving to be on the cover of the next NBA 2K game.
In fact, there are many NBA greats who have never gotten an NBA 2K23 solo cover in their entire careers. Hopefully, some of these legends will get a solo NBA 2K cover in the near future.
