Drake Has Confirmed He Does Not Have COVID-19

A number of athletes and cultural icons have been confirmed to have coronavirus. And, for a while, there were concerns that hip-hip star Drake would be the next to test positive.

The worry stemmed from the news that former NBA MVP Kevin Durant had the virus, who was seen hanging out with. Drake just days before being tested.

After a few days of self-quarantine, Drake has confirmed he does not have the virus.

Considering how contagious the virus is — and its relatively long incubation period — it is nothing short of a miracle that Drake wasn’t infected. While the exact modes of spread are not known in full detail, COVI-19 is accelerating at an alarming rate and it seems that even sharing space with an infected individual can put you at risk.

Nonetheless, Drake avoided catching it — much to the relief of his fans.

Unfortunately, there are going to be many more who get infected in the weeks and months to come. Let’s hope that good news (like Drake’s) becomes increasingly common amid all the chaos.
